I can't set the freaking margins and it is about to drive me crazy!

I went to file, then page set up, then to margins, set them all at 1 inch and nothing!!!!!!

It shows each page as no top margin. It won't change! Any suggestions.

I emailed my document to someone with Word, they adjusted it for me on their computer and mailed it back to me.
