Oh cool! The're spread over to the East now too. Never saw them before but I've seen a few around. Been told there is a pair, probably breeding in some woods up the road from me and I've seen a pair over near Dunmow. Apparently the've now overtaken Kestrels as the most common bird of prey in Britain now.

Go round the M25 from me to the the Chilterns and there are loads of them there now, one of the first places they were reintroduced, good how we're getting them again, hundreds of years ago they were common city scavengers, no more unusual than city crows and pigeons. I've been up to Rutland water too and seen the Ospreys which are nesting there now, great to see a bird which before you would have had to go up to Scotland and know where you were going to see.
