I hate women. I'm stationed in VA and my fiance lives in FL. I asked her to come up here for 2 days next month for our Marine Corps Birthday Ball which is easily the biggest thing we do as a command every year. So she asks her parents, and her mom says she can only come if her dad comes too. Shes 21 fucking years old, but she won't tell her mom to fuck off and come anyway. Am I being unreasonable? We're fucking enagaged. I need alcohol.

I've got 1 yr 9 mths left, and she has about the same left in school so she wants to finish down there.

Well, she doesn't drive because she's too reliant on them to take her everywhere which is a battle I've been fighting with her for a year now. And the family is rich and I really appreciate the Jaguar Season Tickets whenever I can be there...

If she's still living at home, then no it's not unreasonable.

But since she's engaged, yes it is.

My grandma grounded my mom at 21 when she fell asleep at my dads house watching tv one night, they were engaged also.

They still got married, and here I am.

My parents were the same exact way with me. I was 20 yrs old, in college and they still always asked where I was going, who was going to be there, what time I was going to be home and sometimes even asked for a phone number to where I was going to be. It drove me freakin insane. But now that I have 2 little girls, I can see exactly where they were coming from.

Well now, let me give you a parents perspective. But first I will grant you that they are keeping her on a tight leash after all she is emancipated.

They are proabbly religous people and they dont want there daughter to be there un escorted ie: living in sin going to burn in hell because she is a harlett....... yada yada yada.

They have control over her because she still lives in their house right?
And their paying for college too right?

I have two girls and I worry about them all the time. I mean look what the fucking pervert rapist did the poor girl at Virginia University. They raped her and dumped her body by Fort AP hill. Give me 2 minutes with them and they would wish that they were dead cause I would stick a bottle of Drano (Sodium hydroxide) up their ass and then slice there tendons behind there knees so they could never walk again.

She'd be staying on a Marine Corps Base, so I don't think that's gonna happen. But if it did, I agree with the Drano and tendons. Don't forget drilling a hole straight through the knee cap, always a good thing to do too.

Once I turned 18... my parents never asked where I went. I'd leave late at night to go get food, to the store, etc.

They didn't care. As long as I didn't wreck my car or get arrested.
