Wolf Pup

Some years back I looked after a wolf pup. She had been found with her little on the side of a road next to her mother who had been killed. The Anishnabe that found them gave one to my dad, so while he went on one of his sailing trips we looked after her. She was beautiful! She never tamed, for obvious reasons, and now lives on an animal reserve with other wild animals. Sorry the photo is so small...i'm not exactly sure why it is. This was taken in Hamilton, Ontario. My son was three or four in this pic.

I like it how he is holding a hammer like 'This animal sure is cute, but you never know, it's also wild!'

That's a cool experience to have though, especially when your young like your son was!

Most hybrids are never tame. Not even if they are rasied from the moment they are born by humans. They just have wild tendencies that don't go away with one time breeding. Domestic dogs have thousands of years of domestication that make them considered tame, even though they still act out on natural tendencies.

A dog like this may seem tame or act tame every day of it's life, until something triggers it's wild side and you end up with a badly hurt or dead person.

I don't support the owning or breeding of hybrid dogs... but I've never owned one so there is no way to know how they really are for sure. I just can't trust an animal that's half wild.
