I'm at a friends house with a fellow you may know as NicAuf and we're having trouble with his wireless. His computer sees it but won't connect to it, any quick fixes?

It depends on his security settings. Log into his router and check them out.

You probably need the WEP password.

I have my wireless network set up to only accept a particular MAC address. If he's done that, then you'll need to add the new device to the allow list.

Once you log into the router, it should be fairly straight forward.

Most likely, if it's a new wirless card, or network all together, you'll just need to reset the router, and when it does that, it will broadcast a signal so the new PC will see it.... otherwise, if it's a network that's BEEN setup and all of a sudden it's not working, then there could be other issues.... but try resetting the router, that resolves 99% of all problems with a wireless network

My wireless is easy as hell. I just set it up as an open network though so pretty much anything can connect to it. Don't have to worry about the neighbors cause they are too far away anyway so what do i care.

Yeah, most of the time, most people won't know how to use your network anyway, but setting a WEP Key helps just in case.
