Honestly, the look of Windows 8 puts me off. I've been a Windows OS user my entire life, and Windows 8 just looks........odd.

I quite like Windows 7, never really had any problems with it. Thankfully I waited until 7 came out until I upgraded from XP, don't think I could do Vista.

I think that Windows 8 is going to be another Windows Vista.....best avoided until the bugs are sorted out, if there are. Like you, I think the desktop is odd, but I also think that it is aimed toward touch screens rather than just normal monitors

I don't think I need Windows 8, because Windows 7 is too good of an OS, it is stable, unless I run out of activations (which is likely with me) and M$ doesn't allow me to activate again, then I'll probably get it
