Windows 8 in business?

XP is about to go end-of-life next year and stats show half a billion computers are still using it, even the NHS (UK National Health Service). However, System Administrators are upgrading XP computers around the world to Windows 7, and not Windows 8.

Do you think Windows 8 has a place in business i.e. corporate desktops and not tablets?

8.1 has been released but will that be enough to convince corporations to upgrade from XP/7 to the latest OS or has the stigma of Windows 8 put them off?

Haven't used it yet. I recently installed Windows 7 on my new laptop. It suits all of my needs, I really don't need W8. And actually I think that the Metro UI is more for tablets or mobile phones, and not for a touchpad or a mouse.

Windows 8 may have a place in business, yes, it's essentially and improved version of Windows 7. Companies are not famous for their habit of upgrading OS though, and Windows 8 is a bit different so there's a little learning to do...I don't think it'll do well.
