One thing Windows (er... Microsoft I should say) does well is steal ideas. Here's a visual technology that has been around in other platform(s). One thing Microsoft is finally FINALLY doing right is not just making visuals pretty but actually making those purrrty visuals a functionally useful thing.

Now to make that visual appear so you can easily see all windows open at once and easily scroll to the one you want, Use the Windows Key+ Tab.

You can keep holding down the Windows key and press tab as many times as you have to to get to the window you want to switch to (forward) or shift+tab to switch (backward) or you can use the scroll wheel on your mouse.

You can also just point the mouse pointer to the window you want to switch and click it. and it switches right away and you can release the Windows Key

This below is an extension for Firefox. It's called FoxTab. Also there's a cool visual addon for Linux called CompizFusion
