Win XP reinstall... again...

my xp crashed... again... last night... had to reinstall it... i tried activating and it said too many fucker! So i called and apparently i got the cuztomer service in Bombay... its working again... itunes will take a long time...:mad:mad:mad:mad

Any idea why it's crashing? Are you sure the hard drive is sound?

If you are having a problem again this soon, it may be a hardware problem.
I just had a nightmare with my work PC. I got the blue screen of death a few times a week, but a quick shut down and it went back to normal. It was very frustrating since the BSofD didn't give me any good info to work with... Well it crashed real good. I couldn't even start in safe mode. Not even with the start-up disk... In the end, it was the on-board NIC that went south. Once I disabled it in the bios and added my own card, everything worked out... So the lesson, maybe you are having a intermittent hardware problem...

nah its all working like it should now... i was just venting! lol the only thing that is not as normal is my itunes library and song ratings... that took me almost weeks to rate all of my songs...

i'm very very used to the probability of having to reinstall at any given moment... i back up everything daily onto two slave SATA hd's, thats also where all my music is, just the ratings and everything have to be redone...

I'm running XP Pro SP3 and I' haven't had any problems in a long time! I used to have to reinstall alot. Maybe I'm just getting better at staying away from bad sites.

I had to reinstall everything last night because I tried downloading a prohram that had a virus in it and made my computer virtually inopperable. I'm still getting everything back on.
