be feeding me back a low muffled radio signal? I wouldn't mind but its fucking country music. I can barely make it out but I can tell by the twang in the song. Anyways what would cause this?

Well, imo, you don't want a speaker right next to any kind of receiver. By right next to, I mean like within a foot or so. Consumer electronics (and American Airlines) don't always have the best shielding on the wires, so you can sometimes get "bleedover" from one system to the other. Other than that, I have no idea :dunno

Most likely what is happening is the signal is being broadcast near you, do you know of any radio towers nearby? Or neighbours into country music lol?

Anyway, what I believe is happening is that your speaker wire is picking up the radio signals.
Is your speaker wire excessivaly long and coiled up? You could try straightening it out and organising it - also check for any cracks or cuts in the wire itself, cover it up if you find any. And if you wish you could try casing it in copper foil or tube - that would stop any interferance for definate.

There could be any kind of power wires going close to the amp of the surround sound which is most likely built into the subwoofer part of the system. Check that out, move the sub around itself, and also try moving all wires away from the speakers themselves.
