Many victims avoid speaking out due to fear of backlash, disbelief, or further harassment. Reporting systems are often slow or ineffective. Silence protects abusers. How can online communities support victims better? What would make reporting feel safe and worthwhile?

One major reason is losing reputation. sadly, common people care more about their reputation than the big names. Therefore, when celebrities are becoming vocal about digital violence, common people prefer to stay silent.

There are many reasons why victims don't speak up, but the most common ones are fear of retaliation and feelings of shame or embarrassment.

Many victims stay silent because of fear, shame, or worry about retaliation. Social stigma, concerns over being blamed, and a lack of trust in authorities or platforms also play roles. Silence can feel safer than speaking out, even though it allows the abuse to continue.
