Old clothes, gifts, or random objects often stay with us long after they’re useful. They seem tied to memories or identity. What makes it hard to let go of these things? Do you tend to keep or clear out unused items?
Honestly if it's out of sight it's out of mind for me. I need to go through my clothes and other things and donate stuff I no longer wear or use. I think the same thing can be said for a lot of people. Some people may have a hoarding issue and don't want to let go of stuff. That could be another reason why people don't get rid of things.
