Why are these vids in the net!?

So with all the crazyness in iraq, there are many many deaths. not just american and canadian soldiers but even tourists (bad place to travel).

anyway, i went to my friends and he was watching these videos on the internet of people getting beheaded in iraq. I FELT SO SICK. these vids should be nowhere on the net. and frankly anybody who watches them for entertainment is a twisted individual. Maybe some of you have seen similar videos. but its all i can think about today. Those poor people, that has got to be absolutely terrifying.
Its horrible to know that things like that are going on in our worlds still. thats the only thing i can think of being good about watching these vids. BUT SERIOUSLY!? They should not be on the net, and able to be accessed by anyone with a computer.

Maybe Im a sick person, but I watched Saddam Hussein's hanging. Just wanted to make sure he was dead...
Its not something I go around looking for everyday, but when it happened I watched it... the sick man got what he deserved.

that i can kinda understand. but watching a hanging isn't as gruesome as watching a beheading. i was mortified.

Yeah, if I can remember correctly, I think his head did actually fall off. But not intended to. But yeah... its not my everyday movie.

Just because something offends you doesn't mean its necessarily bad for others. I agree its a sick thing, but I think its important for people to see this, and understand what is going on.

I've watched a beheading by a hunting knife. It wasn't pleasant and I really wish I'd not seen it.

But, sadly enough, there are people who enjoy these things.

yeah, boo to censorship. i agree. it is important to know its out there and happening, but watching it is your choice i guess. i just think its way to easily accessible to children. i can handle gore but damn if that mortifies me it could give a kid nightmares for years.

I understand your fear, but its up to parents to know what their children are up to on the good ol' internets.

How about the teacher who showed a beheading to their class (middle school, I think)? It's one thing to read a description of something and another to actually see it.
