Went yesterday. One of those films that is visually impressive, as Burton movies nearly always are, but the script was lacking I thought. Interesting, yes. As good as I expected, nope

I was really hyped up about seeing it, but the local paper critic panned it. Now, I'm teetering on the fence.

I've read several reviews that ripped it apart. All of them focusing on the "story" and all of them essentially saying the the Lewis Carroll books sucked to begin with. So I'm not sure how you can please critics who come to a film with a bias against the source material to begin with. Plus, no critic ever likes Tim Burton movies. You're either a fan, or you're not, it seems.

I loved it, and would highly recommend it. I think it was way better than Avatar, and the same critics all seemed to LOVE that.

I liked it.. Saw it yesterday and thought it was worth the money for seeing it in 3D.. Something you probably will not get quite as good on DVD or Blueray..
