Who should be the new Batman?

Ok, you all read the news and it is Ben Affleck and almost everyone apart from the decision makers gave it :thumbdown

Can anyone fill the shoes of Christian Bale? It is a tough task for anyone as his portrayal of the Dark Knight was probably the best ever version in a live action movie. Not helped by the fact that the films he starred in were the best ever Batman films.

So who can replace him as the next Caped Crusader? Would they play a more detective style? A tough guy with muscle? The cheesy comic book style?

Christian Bale was the best! I honestly don't know. Ben Affleck was boo-ed down, that's true. It's going to be hard to find someone who pleases everybody. I also heard that Justin Bieber was supposed to play Robin. I was pretty pissed off, but I think it's just a false rumour flying around.

I hope it's a false rumor because I wouldn't go see the movie if justin bieber was playing robin. Ben is bad enough as batman. Justin would be the last straw for me.

I don't think Ben Affleck was a good choice. Actually, it is stupid! He is way too old and out of shape. He will not draw in a large crowd across the demographics either. Christian Bale was the best one. I think they should have gotten an unknown actor, new on the scene. He would be a better choice.

I concur: No Ben Affleck. I actually would have liked to see a younger Josh Brolin give it a go. My personal, hands down, best option? Tyler Hoechlin mouthing the provided vocals of Kevin Conroy. That would make me happy.

I also wish they had gone with someone else besides Ben Affleck. He is a good actor, but only with certain roles. Batman is not the right role for him. He did terrible as Daredevil and I don't see how he can do better as Batman.

I think it's already been decided for. Ben Affleck is gonna be the new Batman. A lot of HATE has been going on lately from DC fans. I think he's gonna be a good batman, if we just give him the chance. Honestly, despite low box office numbers, I think Daredevil is one of the best Marvel movies ever made. It was honest and loyal to the story, but what do I know :|

I like Ben but I think batman is too big a role for him. I also think that The Avengers was the best marvel movie hands down. I watch that movie over and over because I like it so much. They did an excellent job with this movie and I can't wait to see the sequel when it comes out.

I can understand the dislike of most DC fans for Ben Affleck donning the role of the Caped Crusader, and the initial impression is that these fans have a penchant for reacting negatively. However, I honestly believe he deserves the benefit of the doubt and at least he should be given a chance to prove his worth as Batman.

I want to give Ben Affleck a try first, everyone was bashing Christian Bale when they announced he was going to be the new batman and for me he ended up being one of the best Batman movies ever made so only after the first movie I will judge it. But more on topic I think Henry Cavill would be a good cast for batman as he proven himself in Man of Steel.[h=3][/h]

I am with everyone else. Not impressed with the choice for the new Batman. However, I can't think of anyone off the top of my head would be a better choice. I really dislike when Hollywood goes and decides to go in a new direction and casts new actors to play roles when we already like the actor currently in the role. So far from reading about this new Superman/Batman movie it sounds more like its going to be a Superman sequel and less of anything Batman. I guess at this point all we can do is sit back and wait and see what this movie brings the audience. I am glad they are keeping with Henry Cavill as Superman though. I thought he did an impeccable job.

I am glad they are keeping the same actor for superman. I would hate if they changed him. I just wish they had done a better job at picking the actor for batman. I guess I will have to wait and see how it turns out.
