i think like tanning, going overboard on the whitening is dangerous.

I think that the natural look is the best look. and by this I mean no fake tanning, no fake whitening.
Just let your skin adapt naturally to where you spend most your time.

There is nothing new about these creams, they've been around for a long time. Where I live, in a lot of the Asian beauty shops, they sell creams like this becuase, like the article said, they equate it with being a higer social class.

Personally, I don't care what people do - it's their skin. I just worry that sometimes people just become obsessed to such an extent they start hurting themselves. Wheteher it's people who spend hours a week on a sunbed or (like a girl at my school did), pour bleach on their skin to try and whiten it.

Well i prefer to look more white but get creams like this i see no reason just don't go out in the sun and tan..
but this is not bad either the sun not good .. but i think sometimes i over do it as we need the sun also to look good there are many time i manage to look more white and do look pale but i look more to sick pale because the skin need the sun also not to stay a lot but a little is good ..so i do end up using bio oil to get what i don't from the sun
