A post in another thread inspired me to start this thread.

Where would you like to go, imagining that time and money were no constraints? Where wouldn't you like to go and why?

I would love to go to France for all the wonderful scenery, history, food and wine! Also England, Ireland and Scotland, my ancestral homelands. Maybe Australia and some other European countries including Italy and Greece.

I have no desire to go to Asia; there is nothing there, aside from some historically interesting cites and sites, that interest me. All I ever see is the third world squalor and near-stone age conditions. There is also the nearly lack of civilized law and order to offer any safety.

What is on and off your itinerary?

Im gonna visit every european country before I die + Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and China.
Asia, Africa and South American doesnt really interest me. they are too "third worldish" for me. apart from those countries Ive already mentioned.

If you rule out South America your missing out. Seriously, Chile has to be one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Plus, good wine

I haven't been to the East, out of the places I`ve been in the provinces, Yukon and BC win hands down to me since I love the forests, lakes, mountains. Wish I was out there again but my experience in Yellowknife makes up for it kinda, lol!

Hey! The link works so no worries. Yeah I'm not crazy about Calgary but only 90 minutes away is the glorious Rocky Mountains. I fell in love with them at first sight and Melissa'a reaction to them the first time was "Oh my God! :eek Oh my God! :eek Oh my God! :eek"...and so on, for hours. There's not much in the way of mountains back east - but plenty of impressive hills - but if you like lakes and trees there are enough there for several lifetimes. :)

I wouldn't mind if I lived in Calgary one day actually, it's near the mountains, I get to have the city life in the mix and I wouldn't be too surprised at the prices there or whatnot since I'm an Edmontonian and believe me any city beats Edmonton. :D

That is the cutest reaction I ever heard, when did she see them for the first time? :D

The Yukon will always have a special place in my heart though.... it's one of those places I fell in love with big time *blush*

There are tons of good looking girls in Canada; I'm glad you noticed! By the way, you can count yourself one of them! :)

I'm in total and complete denial about it, heck most people would say I'm the last person to think I'm drop dead gorgeous. :24:

what is wrong with Calgary Lumpy?

sounds like the cold weather version of parts of Arizona. There you live in the low ground and are an hour or two from the mountains where one can ski and enjoy the winter atmosphere.
