and you reach the afterlife (those of you who believe in it)do you think you are the same way you were? or do you think you go back to your dream weight and age so people who knew you could recognize you?

Also, some books I've read pick the magic number of 32. You go back to 32. Or, whatever your prime-health age was. Not so much for recognizability (sp), but for optimum health and mobility.

A couple curious books to read are Journey of Souls & Destiny of Souls. All taken from case-studies in regression. Both which lend credence to what I have always thought. That we are in 'school' while on this planet. To learn what we didn't learn last visit. All with the goal of learning all we need to so we can ascend ever-higher in the planes of existence. Or, that's my take anyway.

If you believe TV you look like the last thing you were wearing/looked like when you died LOL. I dunno though I like to believe in an afterlife.

What does TV know except what it's programmed to tell ;)

I do know a few weeks after my dad died, he came to me in a dream wearing his favourite shirt and slacks from the late 70's. He was beaming with health and was quite surprised that what I'd told him he'd find once he crossed, he did. Silly him for doubting his kid. :p Of course, that was all in my mind.:cool

One of Mom's wishes was that she see her dad again...I would have liked to see that...never met either of my grandfathers

It was a bit of a joke I was picturing Ghost Whisperer when I wrote it. LOL :)

I haven't read the bible all the way through, but someone told me that it says in there that in the afterlife you'll have no memory of who you were in your actual life.

I've read it through more than twice, studied it, and have come to the conclusion it is a work of man made fiction. I recall no such statement in the bible as "someone" claims in the quote above.

I have read in different books that you 'appear" to others and yourself as you wish to..so most choose that point in their life when they were at their "peak" as it were.:)

i read in the bible somewhere that we go into a deep sleep until the end of days.

doesn't explain ghosts...unless those are the ones stuck in purgatory and hell depending on the out look.

personally, of late, i have thought it would be nice just to end. that there would be nothing and what we have now is it. However, we are all made up of energy so we will continue on in some form or another, as to what it is...who knows...still doesn't explain ghosts tho....

i'd like to think that elvis is having jam sessions with buddy, hendrix, moon, cobain and morrison.

No offense to those who think his early death gives him musical genius status, but I personally don't think Cobain is even in the same league as Elvis, Hendrix, or Morrison. Maybe he's bringing the food for the jam sessions??? ;)
