I spent Christmas and Boxing Day (never heard of it before this trip) in London in 2005.
(My wife and I both have divorced / remarried parents, so that's 4 sets of parents to visit on Christmas. We decided to leave the country!
)
We both LOVED it there. People were nice. Architecture was incredible. History is really alive in some parts of the city. I don't remember the name of the street, but stepping into the clink was like walking back in time 400 years.
I can't think of anything worth faulting Brittan for. You're a small little island in the middle of a cold ass piece of ocean, but you've stood your ground against the evils of the world (alone at times), and in the process helped shape all of Western society.
My hat is off to you guys over there.
PS: Sorry about having to kick your butts those two times back then.
