What's with networking sites?

How many people have more Facebook and MySpace friends than real friends? By real friends, I mean the ones you see on a regular basis. The ones that will pick you up when your car breaks down or tell you that you have a booger on your shirt. You know the ones. The ones who buy you a beer and tell you, "I never liked your ex, anyway. She was a real bitch." The ones who won't let you take the drunk chick home from the bar. Real friends. The ones who call you up and embarrass you instead of posting an embarrassing clip on You Tube. The ones who text you when there's a guy on tv attempting to eat a 5-lb. hamburger. What happened to those kinds of friends? Are they still out there?

nope they arent theres only a handful of real friends, and sometimes only one.

people on my facebook are people i went to school with or used to associate with, but not so much anymore. their lives revolve around gossip and the next beer pong tourny. not something i want to associate myself with now. I am happy to say hello and goodbye online, but have no real desire to meet up with them again. unless it was a lost contact, which happens from time to time

The only people I have on facebook are school friends, family, old friends that I don't see anymore and friends from a club me and my sister go to every 2 weeks.

Most of them are people I've gone to school with. I look at baby pictures, mainly, or see what people are up to with their lives.

I'm really picky and choosy about how I called friend. I have three people up here that I would say are true friends; of those, one is my husband, one is my brother. I have LOADS of acquaintances though, and people I can talk to and call up and hang with. But no one I can really relate to.

I'd say I know about 80% in real life. The rest I've met on forums or just random places.

I wouldn't ask for help from most of them and only a couple ever put up embarrassing photos, but that's just me. I think there's only 2 people I'd ever go to for help or a bitching session.

I will admit to having met at least 20 of my friends on fb and myspace in real life.....myspace is full of mainly musicians, fb is mainly from people I have met in forums

My Facebook has a lot of people from my grade (school), about ten of them in my actual group. I rarely see my friends so do I still call them real friends? I keep my list to a minimum, I have 107 Facebook friends...most of them I have talked to at one stage or another, or sometimes comment on their status lol. MySpace has about half, about 50 something friends. Not too fussed about MySpace.
