My computer won't load videos on youtube. Apparently John's been having issues, so it has to have something to do with my wireless router, maybe?

So how do I fix?

Is it just a black screen when you try and play one?

Yep. It shows how long the video is, but the little red bar at the bottom doesn't start growing. And the screen is just blank.

Check your Internet speed, youtube requires a certain speed to play video because of the bandwith.

You might try updating your Flash player. I believe that's what YouTube uses.

Firefox, I don't know, and I don't think so... I know nothing about my computer apparently!

It's 54. That's what my wireless limits it to and I've never had an issue before the past couple days.

You might try updating your Flash player. I believe that's what YouTube uses.

Also, I hadn't really paid it much attention, but when I try to load Gmail I have to click the button for basic HTML for slower connections because it won't load....

My roomie completely redid my computer several months ago and put a "hack" copy of Windows on it. Now I have stuff popping up saying it's counterfeit. It erases the background on my desktop, which is really frustrating. I'm waiting until school is over before I try to fix it...

I forgot! My computer keeps freezing completely, to the point where I can hear the fans shut off, and then I have to start it all over again. It's super frustrating!

I would run a Panda Scan and see if it shows anything.

You may want to clear out your cookies, history, etc and see if that helps.

No point in virus scanning or any thing like that as its never a virus, this applys for deleting cookies, preftech files and defragging harddrives there ust placebos to make yu think things are better when often they make things worse

If using firefox best to unistall flash and reinstall with the latest version or alternatively for ease just install the latest flash

If problem persists then a fresh install of firefox is needed or alternatively a change of browser, though when unistalling firefox make sure all registry keys and all asociated files are wiped of the disk before re-installing

I was going to recommend you to update your flash software, chheck if you have anything interfering with your flash. My ad blocker plug-in was interfering with my flash at one point. It was viewing the flash as a standard banner advertisement.

What version of firefox is it? firefox doesnt have the best of compatability with falsh player

Virus scanning should be auto scheduled and should happen without you even knowing nothinge evr really a virus unless personnal data is concerned, most issues are all done to the user
