He doesn't go to jail, but still serves probation and must pay 250k?

Whats probation? 2 years of husking corn? 250k? isn't that like... chump change for most white house officials?

I mean shit... it's ONLY 30 months in prison for the bastard.

Gee, lets make this easier for people to break the law and get away with it, President.

Fuckin ridiculous, IMO. She could have been killed due to this.

It's sad really. The whole damn American legal system is fucked up now. it makes me sick how criminals who commit really serious crimes can end up with hardly a sentence at all. I have a friend, when he was 7, his father was murdered, and the guy who did it only got 10 years in prison. he's already out! it just makes me mad how useless the American legal system has become.

The real question here is: How many of us know what Libby was charged with, and why? :)

I'm not personally for or against the lightening of the sentence, but I think it was screwed beyond belief how he got himself into that mess.

The only thing about the entire situation that actually pisses me off is the Democratic presidential candidates all spewing lies that he outed a covert CIA operative. They know the truth. There is no excuse for them lying about it, and no excuse for us to be too dumb to just listen without question. :(
