You've seen the movies about other countries, but what about the everyday things? Ask someone from England a question....or an American...or anybody.

I'd like to know...How in The States do you avoid breaking the laws when you cross a state line? Don't you get confused when you can do something in one state, but not in another?

PS...Don't forget to mention where you're from if your location isn't filled in.

many of the laws are the same in each state. Things that can be different are:

1. drinking age.

2. fireworks are legal in some states.

3. Highway speed limits are different.

Most of the time there are notices that remind everyone about the changes at the border.

Going state to state isnt much of an issue..just be an honest citizen and the small variations will not be in the way.

We see the movies like 'Christine' and 'Bullit', big cars, big engines. In this day and age are Americans still obsessed with their big cars...or are there more smaller cars on the road nowadays.

There are a lot of smaller cars. I think the V-8 has been replaced by the V-6 mostly for fuel savings. I guess if you looked at a major freeway at a busy time ,there would be more smaller cars than large ones.

Reference the big car small car. Go back twenty years and while Americans were slowly turning to smaller cars, especially in the cities the UK were moving to bigger cars, 4x4s, people carriers and the like. Today with the cost of fuel, road tax and more people becoming aware of the damage being done to the atmosphere it seems on both sides of the pond the smaller car is the way to go.
