What...The...Hell?

This is kind of starting to piss me off. I have IE and FF, and on IE, lately, if I want to use the Back button to go to a previous page(On any website), I have to click Back like, 2 or 3 times. Anybody know what's going on?

It was the other way around for me. I was using FF until I started having to click the back button 3 times, or right click on it and select the last page I went to. Now I just use IE. I don't know what it could be.

do you receive an error message, also could be an issue with the following file:

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

does it happen with particular sites or just randomly, what version of IE are you running?

I was using FF(Still on my comp to this day), but it started being more of a damn hassle. So I went back to IE.

No messages have appeared yet. And it happens randomly. Like for instance, it's stopped itself now. I'm running IE 6.0.2900.2180, if that helps any.

when you say randomly is that at random intervals not dependent upon what site you are viewing, for instance does it only happen at offtopicz, do you experiance the same thing on any other sites or even when browsing the web?

Some web sites aren't very well programmed, some web sites have to update every five seconds. Because of that, they don't take kindly to people trying to "go back" with their Internet browsers, whatever they might be.

An example. Here, earlier, it wasn't doing it. Now it is, I have to hit back 2 times to get it to go back. On www.fordforums.com, I have to hit it 5 times.

are there any pop ups or the like aside from error messages that your getting? when you connect do you hear multiple clicking like you accessed 2 or more sites all at once?

Nothing bad is going on, no messages, no clicking. Just it doesn't go back when I click it once.

I have that problems at times, I just right click and then click what exactly I want to go back to. Seems to get me back when hitting the back itself wont.
