Wherever I worked I was usually subjected to Radio 1 or ten17 (local station) but I always insisted on them giving Virgin a go and they always stayed with that.:thumbup

Glad you find Crapital FM so boring and irritating, Radio 1 seems determined to follow the same route. If you have digital radio, though you can get some stations on normal radio, tune to these stations, XFM, Radio 6 (only on digital), Absolute...far less repetitive and base their music for those with taste in music

I do not listen to the radio at work. I have to turn it down too often to answer the phone. If I am in my truck I am usually listening to one of the two local sports radio stations.

I sit in my own cage, i mean cubicle so i get to run Pandora and basically pick my own radio station, own artist, or a bunch of artists into a single "personal" radio station.

In my previous position i had to endure the pain that is 102 Jamz which is a black-oriented radio station LOL It is a surprise that the FCC lets these people on the radio, nonetheless that it allows them to broadcast this radio station nationally. These dudes would talk more about "the white man" than the white man himself!! allegations of racism, discussions about oppression and all kinds of shit that I would be in trouble for even listening to if it was related to non-black stuff. it literally made my ears bleed!! thank god for my Ipod at the time! I believe this is when my music collection increased by like 100GB lol. Oh and this was a 12-hour shift :'(

The one before that was pretty cool, i was working weekend nights with this older man, he loved classic rock so we would listen to the local classic rock radio station all night. that is when i got into classic rock!

The last one was when i worked the overnight weekday shift - I worked with this older goofy-looking older dude, he was probably a hippie back in the day LOL he used to listen to some show called coast to coast which was nothing but facepalm after facepalm all night long. alien abductions, Government conspiracies, Bigfoot stories, and the like. the idea of grown men talking about this shit on national radio was well... lets just say i lost a little bit of faith on humanity during that time LOL

There are some advantages and disadvantages to freedom of speech, but quite honestly there should be an IQ test required with that...
