What is the biggest temperature change you have experienced while outside? I lived in South Alabama years ago and went hunting one morning. I was wearing a T-shirt and pants and broke a sweat walking to my tree stand. The temperature was close to 80. A front blew in while I was sitting in the stand and I began to get cold. By the time I walked back to the truck less than 3 hours after walking in I was shivering. When I got to the truck and started warming up I turned on the radio and the local broadcast said the temperature was barely above freezing with a hard freeze expected that night. It had dropped over 40 degrees in less than 3 hours.

In 1996 We had an Ice Storm in November and December. WA had houses out of power for weeks, my house was out of power for 5 days. My cousin across the mountains was looking at her furniture trying to decide what she could break up for firewood (didn't come to that). My ex and I lived in one of the few hotels downtown that had power (off and on) my work had power Damn it! So I went to work each day, but may coworker like myself did not have power. It was miserable. Under Freezing conditions I think all over November and December. Beautiful, like a Winter Wonderland, downed powerlines everwhere from cracking, dangerous really. One side of a block would be out and the other would have power and the neighbors would all gather with to that side. Those with fireplaces were KING! I'll never forget it, that's for sure!

I remember going to work with temps in the mid 50's. It jumped to about 70 by 9am break. By lunch break it was in the upper 40's. When we got off work it was sleeting and everybody had ice on their windshields and the ride home was crazy with folks sliding off the roads everywhere.

I remember being a freshman in college (I only remember that b/c it's the only year I had a class at the North Campus, LOL) and getting up in the morning, checking the weather, and putting on shorts and a t-shirt. I was fine when I got to class. 2 hours later when I came out and got on the bus, it was so cold I was shivering and the bus driver turned the heat on full blast to get everybody warm.
