What is Attraction?

Let me explain. Like....I'm attracted to a girl say. Now the obvious answer is "Well you like her".

But why do I like her? Is it her looks? Is it the way she dresses? Is it the fact she speaks well?

It's the whole concept too, like I'm attracted to coffee because I like it's taste. Or I'm attracted to the music I listen to becase I like the way it sounds.

So basically what I'm asking is, is it purely down to what a person likes or finds 'attractive' or is it somethnig deeper?

The rest of it is pheromones, as Janie said. We are genetically programmed to mate with someone who will provide us with healthy offspring.
