I wonder, what happens if we could able to transplant brain from one person to the other. If our Brain is the source to store, analyse, react and make decisions and those memory cells come along with the transplantation, what happens to ones Karma, deed, thought etc.,?

Is that Brain just an organ? Or beyond that? Can we make a terrible sinner by transplanting someone who is noble, and give the sinner a good positive outlook toward the life after the transplantation??

our brain, to my knowledge, is not transplantable - i could be wrong. too complicated for now, considering the nerve system connects to the brain. but if it is not possible now, it will be soon....

It may well be possible to transplant the brain, but I think that they may have to transplant the start of the spinal cord & then using stem cells grow an attachment to the one in the existing body ( some time away yet).

This would move the whole makeup of one person into the new body.

As there is no such thing as a soul or Karma obviously these things do not matter, but if we must get spiritual, for all you believers, then Karma is a record of one person's deeds & not the body's deeds & so the transplanted brain would retain it's accumulated Karma, good or bad.

As for the soul, this is a tough one as early christian scholars used to believe that it was located in the heart (don't know what that does for heart transplants). So I suppose it depends on where you think the soul resides.

for those that believe, the soul is in the mind. its all thought up by those who wish to control you. but those that try to control you want you to believe that your soul is separate from the body, such that when your mind and body die, your soul will live on forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and I think the soul is your physical body. If you see a little old lady struggling with her shopping and you say "poor old soul" you're not talking about some ghost thing inside her which floats off after she dies are you?
