Nonito Donaire needed to dig deep and score a knockout victory over Vic Darchinyan. Vic started strong and found success with his left early on. He managed to stagger Nonito in rounds 2 and 4 and frustrated the Filipino technician. But in round 9, Donaire connected on a hard left and then followed it with some rights to knock down Darchinyan. He continued the onslaught until the referee stopped it. But, this was supposed to be a walk in the park by Donaire, a fight that should have made him look spectacular. But he was behind in the scorecards. Do you think that Nonito is no longer his brilliant self that he was in 2012?
