Western philosophy, from Plato to Kant, has shaped the modern political and legal systems as well as the moral frameworks. Nevertheless, critics argue that this often dismisses non-Western perspectives. Does Western philosophy still offer the best ethical models for today's society or should societies integrate other traditions as wll? Can universal moral principles exist, or are all ethics culturally relative?

Western philosophy has had a profound impact on modern ethics and law, laying the foundation for concepts like justice, rights, and individual freedoms. Philosophers like Aristotle, Kant, and Mill shaped moral reasoning and legal frameworks, influencing today's human rights, democratic values, and legal systems. These philosophical ideas continue to guide discussions on justice, equality, and the role of the state in modern societies.
