thirst, hunger, lust, greed
how do we know
our want from need?
we suffer from the human condition
and we can't seem to position
ourselves into anything better

but we can't do any worse
we bring each other down
but we help each other first
aren't we just growing until we balance out?
learning and learning until we know what it's about?
someday we're gonna laugh

we'll laugh at thinking people act animal
that gorillas' behavior can be criminal
we act on what we want, no more no less
whether we like it or not, we all try our best
is it the camel passing the eye of the needle?
no, lois- it's horses that are terrible people

but, then i don't sound like a ranting raving poet:(

the title you probably know is from family guy:
YouTube - Stewie Griffin The Untold Story. Horses are terrible people.

and it's a good point. we can't be bad human beings, human is all we can be.

with every act of grotesque violence, with everyact of kindness that goes unnoticed, with every stupid random joke we make and laugh at- it's all human.

and we have morals, because that's supposed to seperate us from the animals. that's to say that people who can't control their anger or their desires are like animals. they're not, they're human. no matter what we do, we're human. that's a good thing and a bad thing.

the camel and the eye of the needle is taken from a bible passage my teacher was fond of teaching: The camel and the eye of the needle, Hebrew NT Application - Biblical Hebrew

"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." (Matthew 19:24)

so you'd have to give up everything you have and want to get into the kingdom of god, but to want to get into the kingdom of god is still a want, a desire, you're still working on human impulses. and that's really all we can do.

Thats Pretty deep Mori. we can pretend all we want that we are in control of everything we decide and think of, but we are still animals making decisions on inpulses and animal instincts.
