I went to the hospital tonight at 8 in triage (where you go before labor and delivery room). They wanted to soften my cervix...but when they checked me I was already 3cm dilated and 90% effaced. And that's basically where they wanted me at after softening. The next step would have been to break my water...which they don't want me giving birth being up all night. So they told me to come back at 7am, they'll send me right to Labor and Delivery and they'll break my water.

yeah there were some throughout the night, but they were irregular...I can't sleep but i only have 2 hours

oh yeah, I have to be at 100% effacement, and I'm at 90% right now. And 10cm dilated is when I'm actually pushing...and I'm at 3. So I have a big jump on it

haha well let's hope that it doesn't happen to you, it's a pain in the ass. Although sending me home wasn't that big of a deal. It was either having the baby and not having my doctor deliver him or sleeping at home and going in the AM and having my doctor deliver him

My doctor didn't make it to the hospital in time to deliver my second child. One of the nurses actually told me to cross my legs. LOL! I was like um I don't think so lady. The head nurse ended up delivering the little guy.
