Wedding Vows.

This is my first attempt at writing out my wedding vows. I don't know if this will be the one that I use yet, I will probably sit down 2 or 3 more times and write just to see what I like best. Im not too sure either, but this one may be too long? I wonder if I need to memorize it or just read it? hmm. I haven't been to too many weddings so I'm not sure. What do you guys think of this?

I, Clare, choose you, Matthew, as my best friend for life. We have already been through a lot together, and I believe that God has taken this time to prepare us for this moment, and for our future together. We are stronger together than we could ever be alone, and our bond of love will never be broken. I promise to keep the good memories alive, and to let the bad ones die. I vow never to let the sun go down on our anger, and to treat each morning as a new day to love you, the gift God has blessed me with. I will never turn my back on you or on these vows we have made, instead I will strive to show you my love for the rest of our lives. Through the good and the bad, I want you to know always that I will be by your side. This is my solemn promise to you.

Yes, really! I'm glad me and Amber never exchanged vows...I'm not creative enough!!! Our wedding was somewhat special though. We got married in the Chaplain's office on base a week and a half before I left for Iraq.

my dad is performing the ceremony. id rather make up whatever then have him tell me what to say, plus matt is the one who offered that we write our own...he NEVER does sweet romantic stuff for me so im milking this opportunity for what its worth!

aww. well i showed matt and he said it was too long. I guess i kind of agree though, he says he wants us to memorize them, so i think that would be a little long winded.
