They are not in the finals and have never qualified for them. They went out in qualification this time losing twice each to Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.
They have only qualified once for the Asian Cup, 25 years ago and only because they hosted it. They went straight out in round 1 after only beating India, drawing with Iran and losing to China and UAE.
