ok, so NOT current really-- but theres not an "uncurrent events" thread...

any history buffs wanna give a bit of insight, that i wouldnt find on the internet... or any of you live through the scandal-- and wanna help me out...

my topic is
"Why Watergate would pressure American to remove themselves from the Vietnam War"

I'm pretty much done with the historical stuff, but like I said.. some opinions would be interesting to read...
 
Well, I'm not too familiar with the Vietnam Era, but I have some fantastic books that go into that time period. I'll take a look for you when I have a minute.

In case you need to cite your sources or are just plain curious, I'm probably going to get this stuff from Howard Zinn's A People's History of the US. Its one of the most famous New Left/Liberal interpretations on American History. Oh, what fun :)
