Water Lilies

Just a couple of shots from my frog / turtle hunting expedition this morning. I didn't want to leave without taking a shot of something so I took these.

I love the look of them...

This one caught my eye because of the petal shadows. It makes it look 3D'ish.

I do like water lilies. Nice shots, especially the first. Did you have the 2nd on a delay or something else? The leaves look sharp but the lily looks like it's been moving.

I did see that comment but thought you were referring to other shadows in the picture. I had to look again to realise you mean the actual lily For some reason, the shadows you mention play funny buggers with my eyes - make it look like it's out of focus badly - but now I understand what I imagined to be out of focus to actually be. I still love the first shot though

I'm glad we have that sorted out now. I like the first one as well but the second one really captures my attention. I don't know why. Maybe because it's like one of those bugger your eyes up pictures. Seems to have worked on you.

In all seriousness it's the shadows that really caught my eye.
