This place needs more movie discussion! It also needs more music and book discussion!

Anyways, who saw Wall-E? Hopefully everyone. This would be movie of the year if The Dark Knight wasn't coming. I was seriously impressed with this thing.

Wall-E itself was really adorable, the animation was superb. The first half hour or was my favourite, because
watching Wall-E just scrounge around for things, trying to find an identity, all alone on an abandoned planet was really really touching and tragic.

The story itself works great as a sci-fi movie and a love story. Yeah, maybe it isn't the deepest story you'll ever see but considering part of the audience is children, what do you expect? It does what it does really well. It's not always about the originality or the depth of a movie, sometimes it's just how it's told... look at the Godfather.

I adored it!
The trash piles shaped like buildings was such a lovely visual.
I'll be adding it to my "sleep time" move book when it comes out on DVD

Glad you liked it. I'm willing to bet it's the best Disney-Pixar movie ever, and they pretty much got their genre covered so that means a lot.

To anybody with kids who haven't seen it, if you do plan on taking them, realize that the story itself is pretty dark. Maybe children won't notice, but it's hard not to when you're an adult.

Logan and I saw it last week and both loved it.

Who else thought the magician and the rabbit were the funniest 5 minutes of their life?
