Autism Has My Child Has Just Posted the Following:

Having a special needs child, I have noticed more and more about how people perceive you and your child. They judge your child before they even get to know them. That hurts! It hurts when they can look at your child and automatically call them the “R” word (retarded) without even speaking to them or [...]

He must be confident in his job. Good for him but could cost an individual their job.

Waiters get to select their customers based on character now?

the man has lost the plot, I'd be telling him to pull his head in.

It's not that I disagree with his position, but when you are being paid to wait tables, you wait tables. That's all there is to it.

I dont know.. I dont think I would be able to wait on their table. I wouldnt ask them to leave, I would just have someone else do it.

“Milo wasn’t being bad, he was just talking and making little noises,” Garcia told FoxNews.com. But a customer at a nearby table who was also with his family began making comments about Milo.
What a great way for a father to show his ignorance in front of his own family. :mad

I think it's great that he was willing to risk his job to stand up for what he believes in. Evil triumphs when good men do nothing, IJS

A friend of mine often tells me that "karma is keeping a tab"...good things coming that waiter's way.

Perhaps the father was being too vocal ?

Or too repetitious?

for the waiter to take note it have to be something more than just quiet mumbling by the father..

sounds like the father might have been making as much commotion as the child. which is pathetic as the father is an adult who should be able to control himself. If he was uncomfortable he should have just quietly asked for a different table.

since this happened in my home town, i want to find that waiter, have him wait on me, and give him a double tip!!!

i think its great that someone stood up for his beliefs, even knowing that he may lose his job! too many times people will let ugly comments, rude remarks, etc go by the wayside in fear of speaking up.
