So one of my friends and I were wanting to start our own vidcast series, and we were wondering how we would go about starting one. We plan on starting small maybe like posting some on myspace videos or google video idk. So I was just wondering if anybody had any advice on getting this plan going. Any advice/help would be great.

ummm not that i know of...possibly. I think its more about the filesize you are dealing with than the time limit. Personally, I would say don't make a video that is longer than 10 minutes anyways. People will get bored and won't finish it, you want to get lots of hits to become popular and youtube is good because you have a user profile and can add friends similar to myspace, but based on their videos. The more people you add, the more will add you in return and the more views you will get. What program are you using for video editing? If you have access to a Mac I would say iMovieHD and Final Cut are the best out there. Any windows equivalent will either have a much higher learning curve or kind of suck...well compared to imoviehd. If you need help compressing the files let me know there is a good instructional site i know of.

Yeah that's true about the length, 10 mins seems good. Currently I don't have any video editing software, and I don't have a Mac. Also whats the whole thing with the file compression?
