VATICAN CITY, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- The Vatican's official newspaper proclaimed "The Simpsons" patriarch Homer a Catholic, although "he does everything he can to hide it."

L'Osservatore Romano's article, "Homer and Bart are Catholics," praised the animated Fox sitcom for being "among the few TV programs for children in which Christian faith, religion and questions about God are recurrent themes," Britain's The Daily Telegraph reported Monday.

I can't remember what Lisa was doing that episode, but it was the one where Bart got kicked out of School so went to the Catholic School with the Irish priest who converted him and Homer.
