I don't 'do' Valentine's Day. It, to me, is a farce perpetuated by the greeting card and jewelry cartels. I tell the people I love that I love them. I do things for them. Not on one or two days a year, but whenever I can. And, if I want candy or jewelry, I buy it.

(just for the record, so I don't sound like some lonely, bitter bitch, I'm married and in love-not necessarily in that order)

John and I exchanged cards Sunday. We are both strapped for money with him moving and all, so we decided cards were enough. We are fortunate to have each other and I feel no gift would be better than having him for Valentines.

We made a reservation at the Mandarin a while ago (it's going to be really packed), so Matt and I are going out for dinner as a double date with our best friends (who are also a married couple). It's just something really informal and fun. We may or may not come back to my place for drinks and Valentine's Day TV specials and spin the bottle. So we're immature, what? Haha
