Iraq invites Russian oil company back

Iraq has invited Russia to bid on its oil fields. So it turns out the war in Iraq was a complete and utter failure after all. The Bush administration even screwed up the "evil oil cover-up" reason for going there. It's hilarious.

meh.. if you lived in the US (in case you dont, im not sure i know where you live lol) you'd know that there is a large percentage of the population that already believes this.

I live in England. Maybe it's a bigger shock to me because i'm better informed than the vast majority of Americans, and was under the impression that the real reason for the conflict was securing Iraqi oil and maintaining the petro dollar. That clearly isn't the case now though.

Yes, all that. Most of it was coverd in the artical.
I think it's interesting... a lot of people thought that oil was the real reason for the war, but either that isn't the case, or more likely, the Bush administration sucks so much they screwed it up. And what a time for this to come up, with the West considering diplomatic sanctions against Russia.
