xp but i tried putting a cd in and xp wouldn't get past the blue boot up. its like linux did something to my hard drive....

You may need to reformat the hard drive to NTFS format first.
Try looking for a bootable disk utility program.

I'll see what I can dig up.

BTW Ubuntu 9.04 is working pretty good for me. I didnt have the problem you experienced but I aint no linux guru. Just lucky I guess.

well sometimes it acts like its booting up and will start to boot up then the screen turns off. i know the screen flickers on and off normally on start up, atleast for me but sometimes it won't boot up at all after the splash screen stops.
