I got this from Facebook, I dunno if it really works, it was on a guy I went to school with's profile!

if you use Twitter, set your location to Tehran & your time zone to GMT +3.30. Iranian security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut down Iranians' access to the internet. Cut & paste & pass it on.

First off, the Iranian leaders think it is in their country's interest to shut down internet access to the citizens; while I do not agree with this stance, I am not in a position to affect change over in Iran. That is Iran and diplomatic entities' business, not mine.

Secondly, what are the consequences of such actions on the domestic front? Sure, you support those in Iran (we shall assume they are the innocent of Iran)... What about doing something constructive in your home country?

Fix domestic issues before trying to resolve or help with foreign issues.

I'm sure you've heard the parable of the man who didn't stand up when other people's rights were being taken away because it didn't concern him, or wasn't his place....and he didn't stand up when his neighbours' rights were taken away because again it didn't concern him...and then when his rights were taken away, there was nobody left to stand up for him.

Never doubt that one committed person can change the world, indeed it is the only thing that ever has.
