Turkeys were hungry

I dumped 2 bags of corn for them and they were on it in less than 10 minutes. They are fun to watch, especially if one grabs an ear by the husk and runs with it. Another 6 will chase that one even if there are 100 more laying there.

I have seen quite a few wild turkeys grazing on farm land along the freeway. Something that was never seen years ago.

Sunday an adventurous squirrel came over looking for corn as well. Today there were 2 of them and 26 turkeys and the squirrels were fighting them for ears they could run off with. It is funny as hell to see a little critter grad an ear of corn as big as it is and have 4 or 5 turkeys chase them. The one was fighting the birds and making them jump and flap their wings. They got to keep their corn and took it over across the bee yard and back in the woods.

I seen turkeys crossing the road coming from the graveyard.
They head over the hillside as if part of their route.
Seems they know how to dodge traffic.
