It's a shame that there ARE people out there that would want to hurt these people just b/c of this...BUT I also agree to stay off Oprah if you're really that worried. When my bestfriend went through her situation here it was in our local papers but her lawyer advised her to turn down the offers she got from Nancy Grace and Oprah to appear on their shows b/c it could make her a target. Nancy Grace was all kinds of wet for my bestfriend, LOL!!!

Oprah just ended. Shit, that is weird. "He" used to be gorgeous as a girl. Then the feeling of thinking she had more male thoughts rather than female thoughts overtook her. Her breasts were removed, they said they took out the tissue, saved the nipples and reattached them for a more male look. The female organs weren't removed. He says the testosterone caused the clit to grow into a small penis, and that he does MAKE LOVE TO HIS WIFE?? :yuk

I have a feeling that if they'd removed her female parts .. she wouldn't have wanted to get pregnant .. but .. that being said .. most couples want children (straight or gay).
What I don't understand is why the "female" of the relationship just didn't carry the baby, since the one (who is now preggers) decided to be the male of the relationship.

My friends and I were talking about this last night, and one of the girls who had watched him on Oprah said he was born with girl parts and guy parts, but legally had to choose which to be and chose male and started taking testosterone, etc... Apparently his wife couldn't get pregnant, so they decided to get "him" pregnant.
What I want to know is, is he pregnant by himself? Like, since they did an at home artificial insemination (think turkey baster), there's really only one logical place to get the sperm...

Well, I wish them luck.
The wife (who is still the female), was infertile, he had all things intact from being a woman, so that was their only option (without the adoption route).
This would have been a long thought process for them both and at the end of the day, they're not hurting anyone.

Up to them I say, I hope all goes well for them.

On Oprah did anyone see the part where the wife's two natural daughters spoke about it? I don't remember what they said. But damn, they are a couple of 9's! I hope they don't have penises too :unsure:

I was really pissed to hear that Oprah devoted part of her programming to this. I can't stand the b*tch! Wonder how much they were paid to be on her show? 15 miniutes stars making lots of $ off the media.

I don't see how the baby will be hurt??? On the other hand, we have been over this similar scenario a few times on this forum re gays and children and I still say so what, it's up to them - who's to decide if those children of couples such as mentioned will be loved any the less? They will probably get loved and cared for far more decently than many hetro' couples these days.
Re the 2 natural children - we heard it here that she (the female) is infertile, so I don't know about those two children you mentioned.
