I was a teen when 1 & 2 came out and they were only seperated by 4 years.

I was talking to someone about this the other day- I know I was. I hardly remember anything out of that convo other than it happened (or I'm going crazy!) and I decided that there has been enough time in between to make a third and it still be good. Unlike Ice Age... they are spitting them out to fast.

On a slightly unrelated note, there is an Alien doll in the trunk of my car right now. John won him out of the claw machine. I thought the connection between Al and "The Claw" was too good of an opportunity to pass up!

I agree with Ice Age but I don't think a 5 year gap between the first movie and second movie was too bad... look at movies like Back To The Future 1 & 2... they had a few good years in between them. I really hate when they spit out sequals that have nothing to do with the original cast or directors.

Like everything after An American Tail not including Don Bluth, Son Of The Mask, and Ace Ventura Jr. Not to mention the Land Before Time franchise....

Good heavens... did they ever drag The Land Before Time out.... Even as a child I was bored with.
