I think it is severly unfair that a person with a motorcycle can ride at any speed so desired wearing no jacket or helmet with bare arms on a paved road and it is completely within the law while people that travel in a car seats, a dashboard, and airbags and have to wear our seat belts.

So it's okay to stop a man/woman in an automobile if they're not wearing a seatbelt but you can't hold a man liable who tips his bike, and practically skills himself alive and not fine him..... If he survives....

First, motorcycles aren't allowed to go "any speed", they're required to obey the speed limit like any other vehicle. I do think that if a state doesn't have helmet laws, it shouldn't have seatbelt laws either. If somebody's dumb enough to not wear a seatbelt or a helmet, then let them weed themselves out of the gene pool. Also, in Florida you can't be stopped for not wearing a seatbelt. It's a secondary offense, meaning they can give you a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt if you're pulled over for something else, but they can't pull you over if that's the only reason.

I think it's dumb to complain about two totally different types of things. A car HAS seatbelts available...a motorcycle does not. Nuff said. Can't make em wear a seatbelt when they can't even be used on the damn things.

i think it's only fair that people on motorcycles do as they please since they probably won't be alive very much longer.
