Anyone play any of these games?

I have Rome and Medieval ones, but not sure I am too keen on the Empire one.

I play Medieval:TW 2 now most of the time, I have 3 campaigns going right now. One as England that is in the 17th Century and going awfully - the empire is spread too thin and the cost of defending it has crippled me.
Another one as Scotland - which is just too easy. I control all of Western Europe and the New World and Jerusalem and it's neighbours. And the money just keeps rolling in.
And finally one as Turkey, which is very early on in the game, and looks to be very difficult. Crusader's and the Byzantine Empire are a pain in the ass.

I was thoroughly smitten by the first one- Medieval. For some reason, I gave up on Rome, maybe been there done that.

I want to play them so much. Especially the one around the Revolution.

Empire: Total War?

I didn't think it was that good, it suffers a little from the style of battles fought at the time.
Obviously, a battle system consisting of 2 lines of men shooting at each other until one line is left standing does not make for an interesting game :surrenderAlthough the sea battles are good.
