Ok, so my wife and I live with my mother-in-law and you would not believe the ammount of junk she has. I just went out to the garage to look for something and not only did i have to climb over boxes, but also, tabes, trash cans, 2 desks, a bed, a crib and tons of random shit. I just almost broke my leg climbing over boxes because they are litterally stacked 10 high and 17 deep. and I swear I could throw it all away and she wouldnt miss it at all. I basically wanted everyone to know how much I hate pack rats. She never throws anything away I am suprised she doesnt keep her mcdonalds trash, but my wife does. Do you know where she keeps it? In my flippin car! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR:willy_nilly2:spank:

My secretaries moved into a house to take care of her mother. One day her husband called who was at their house as he collapsed and could not get up. Long story so no need to bore. I walked in there and there was shit piled up to the ceiling all over the place. There was a narrow gap to get down the hallway. It was like something out of the movies.

My basement is loaded with crap. We have been saving furniture and old stuff for the kids until they move out on their own where they will need it. It is getting to be ridiculous and nobody bothers to put stuff in place down there.

I do, but what I don't have is a closet dedicated to seasonal candles and decorations

:24: Nor do I

But for us it's the classic "we need to move into a bigger house to store all the junk we have." I'm a packrat by nature. You never know what this piece of plastic might come in handy for, or that bit of wire, or those empty plastic bottles, or that . . .

I think we'll just move to another house and keep this one for storage :D

We're staying with my husbands grandparents for the time being and oh my gosh, his grandpa is a major pack rat! He throwns nothing away. He has numerous empty egg cartons in the garage, shoes that are like 20 yrs old, broken ceiling fans, etc. But he somehow knows where everything is at.

My biological mother is a huge pack rat, it's got to the point where there are two sheds, two basements, and the upper floors full of junk. She has an apartment full of stuff too, I wish there was a way to help her not forge things, she just loves getting them though. :(

What? You don't have a junk drawer at home?

Mines not a junk drawer... it's an ol' goody drawer! Why, you might ask? Because I toss incidental items in it all the time. It never fails when I'm looking for something, I slide the drawer open... dig around... and yell... Oh Goody! I found it! :p
